Packing Tips

Consider using A1A Coastal to pack your home for you.... not only will it save you a fortune in time, but it will reduce breakage of your most valuable items.

We sell boxes at discount prices, even if you plan on packing yourself, contact one of our sales representatives

for a cost on the boxes, tape and paper you'll need.

If you decide to pack yourself, please keep the following in mind.

For best results, use new boxes. Remember your boxes will be stacked, a box that is worn badly won't support much weight.

Use lots of paper with your breakables, your things should be cushioned on all sides.

Don't overload a box, use small boxes for books and heavy items.

Tape your boxes well.

Label your boxes on the top and the side, this will make it easier as the mover carries the items inside. Tell them which room to place the box.

If your moving long distance, pack your things for the travel. In the winter remember your things might freeze when your packing food and liquids.

Never pack spray paint or aerosol cans.

If you have a grill, make certain the tank has been emptied. Tanks that are questionable will not be taken.

We do not haul gasoline or excessive paint cans or other flammable products.
